The beach hotel
SUB CABINS
Our hotel rooms, commonly referred to as the SUB cabins, are located in the beach hotel, right next to the sandy beach and Strandbaren. The inspiration for the SUB cabins is taken from the old underground cellars, which were protected inside the sandbank, but we have brought in daylight by creating large light openings in the roof and floor-to-ceiling glass in front facing the sea.
An important reason why the hotel has been built into the sandbank is precisely to mitigate the effects of the intervention. You cannot see the hotel from the back. The building is primarily made of concrete and glass, but is furnished with softer touches of various textiles and canvas, which has a varied and complex selection of interior elements. Among other things, we collaborated with the College of Art and Design in Gothenburg and reused e.g. old elements from Troningen Gård and the ship-breaking yard in the interior. Each room is uniquely furnished, as you can see in the pictures of the rooms when you book online.

Våre hotellrom, populært kalt SUB-lugarene, er lokalisert i strandhotellet, rett ved sandstranda og Strandbaren. Inspirasjonen til SUB-lugarene er hentet fra de gamle jordkjellerne, som lå beskyttet inne i sandbanken, men vi har hentet inn dagslys ved å lage store lysåpninger i taket og glass fra gulv til tak i front ut mot havet. En viktig grunn til at hotellet er bygget inn i sandbanken er nettopp for å dempe virkningene av inngrepet. Fra baksiden ser du ikke hotellet. Bygget er primært utført i betong og glass, men er innredet med mykere innslag av diverse tekstiler og seilduk, som har et variert og sammensatt utvalg av interiørelementer. Vi samarbeidet blant annet med Högskolan för konst och design i Göteborg og gjenbrukte bl.a. gamle elementer fra Troningen Gård og skipsopphuggeriet i interiøret. Hvert rom er unikt innredet, som du kan se på bildene av rommene når du booker online.

The coastal houses directly behind the hotel are all privately owned, but we have an agreement with some of the owners to rent out, both to guests on courses/conferences, parties and holiday stays.
The coastal houses are different in size, content and location, but what they all have in common is that they have from 5-8 beds, a fully equipped kitchen, living room and bathroom.
Enjoy your stay with a great view of the Atlantic Ocean, work, relax, cook your own food, or stroll down to the Beach Bar for a delicious meal if that suits you better.

BOOK A TENT SPOT
We have a few spots available to rent for private tents. The tent pitches are numbered and comes with access to sanitary facilities. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a power connection. Breakfast can be pre-ordered at reception.
Hosnasand is a landscape protection area and it is not permitted to set up tents outside numbered pitches.

PARKING SLOTS FOR CARAVANS
We have three slots at the car park for the purpose of caravans. Unfortunately we can´t offer electricity at these premises.
You will grant access to a shared shower and toilet.
In case we are fully booked, there are good alternatives nearby - check out Stokkøy Marina, which is within walking distance of us, or Stoksund Seapark (15 km away).
